HMCS Ste Therese
anti-submarine mortar practice,
about 1962.

Royal Canadian Navy : H.M.C.S. Ste Therese, squid practice.

Ranged by the shp's sonnar, the mortar bombs were fired from the quarterdeck, right over the ship. Six mortars were usually fired, but I see only four splashes here. The mortars straddled the submarine and the sonar automatically set the depth at which they exploded, crushing the submarine like a pop can.
